Al final me tuve que buscar una red abierta sin proxy para poder completar la bajada de los paquetes necesarios para poder actualizar y aun así no pude conseguirlo, se me colapsó el SO pues solo dispongo de 2GB de RAM y unos 750Mbs de Swap e intentaba actualizar la 14.04 en modo 64bits. Y parece que con menos de 4GBs de RAM no hay que hacer locuras, estoy hablando de actualizar no de instalar, en mi caso y eso ya lo sabía yo de otras veces lo mejor es quitar paquetes, tipo Libre Office, Wine en fín los gordillos e innecesarios para actualizar y cuanto mas mejor.  El error ese que sale en la imagen ayudó a fundir el asuntillo de la actualización. Pues se me repitió hasta el colapso definitivo sin poder yo hacer lo que el mensaje indicaba, de todas formas es mas su problema que el nuestro.

De todas formas pienso que lo de las actualizaciones te lo tendrían que decir ellos, vamos que hay muchos paquetes y sería conveniente borrar algunos,  no lo de ponerse a descargar todo lo que tengas para dejarte supuestamente igual, la base es la base y las florituras son las florituras.

Bueno como tenía guardado una copia de mi directorio no ha habido desastre el que se haya colapsado tampoco quiere decir que no pudiera acceder al USB, así que accedí copié lo último que me interesaba y me hice un USB instalador con unetbootin el lili no funcionó debido a que la 14.04 no está aun contemplada.
Aun así repetí la instalación dos veces porqué no situé correctamente el GRUB en la partición donde resida la instalación.

Pues os dejo con unas capturas de pantalla por si queréis instalar que viene a ser que cuando tienes el usb instalador correcto, ya sabéis bajada la iso y comprobado el MD5 mesmamente y metido en el USB pues se reinicia el ordenador y se intenta que arranque desde el USB eso en cada ordenador es un mundo, puede ser la tecla <—,  puede ser F2 en fin que tenéis que averiguar que combinación de teclas es la que o os hace entrar en la BIOS para modificar el arranque o probablemente si tenéis un equipo moderno vaya automático o semiautomatico.

Aun así tenéis que tener en cuenta que el USB instalador aunque funcione en modo LIVE es eso un instalador y tenéis que decidir a donde queréis instalar, hoy en día en USBs es lo mas recomendable, con 8Gbs es un poco apretado pero ir va y están muy asequibles, (mejor al menos de 16Gb) al menos por mi y gente que entendemos un poco de esto si la queréis hacer en Disco Duro no hay ningín problema, el instalador ya os guía pero antes de aceptar el final de la instalación estar seguros y bien seguros de donde lo metéis lo mismo el GRUB siempre ponerlo donde esté la instalación.

En cuanto a lo que va o nó pues aun estoy probando pero el parole petardea con el formato mkv igual es que aun no han puesto todos los codecs, en fín a probar y a continuar. :) Ximo

Bueno, pues eso estoy intentando actualizar la Xubuntu con 1754 paquetes que podría haber borrado alguno pero mira como se pone así que va a piñón fijo y me ha fallado por eso de arriba, dos miserables paquetillos de ná, habrá que hacer el método normal copiar lo que interese de mi carpeta y empezar de nuevo y es que tengo un proxy que es mas obsceno que el paquete libertine necesario por aquí. Y es que los desarrolladores ya podían poner unos nombres menos comprometidos con la moralina, en fin ya contaré la odisea. :) Ximo

La verdad con tanta fiesta salteada estoy un tanto escuatreado aun así hay dos autores interesantes como son Joe Haldeman con su Viejo siglo XX  y Brian W. Aldiss   con su Non-Stop (en español La nave estelar; también publicado como Viaje al Infinito (Viatge sense final) por la colección NEBULAE) que toca una temática similar, la diferencia son mas de 50 años entre ambos y si os queréis entretener comparar después de leer.

Hay que huir del nuevo  RoboCop que al principio lo de la ocupación de Teherán no es mas que un elemento provocador innecesario para malmeter por los sionistas de siempre, ya sabéis perrea, perrea que ya huele eso de ser solo las víctimas, aparte lo de hacer el robocop ya no da premio, seguro que en Eurovision palmamos como siempre. Y es que eso de la votación popular ya nos es lo que era.

Otra comparación interesante es entre El mecanosctit del segon origen del Manel de Pedrolo  y la Tierra permanece de  George R. Stewart  ya sabéis que hay cátedras de literatura comparada.

Las pelis de Asterix y Obelix yo me he visto la de los juegos olímpicos y la del servicio a su majestad y me he quedao tan agustico tu, sin complejos aunque como leerlo en comic no hay nada mejor. :) Ximo

Pues como cada primavera sale esta nuestra distro y otras muchas que esto es un no parar lo de LST es lo de long term support o que te prometen un mantenimiento de al menos 5 años para la Ubuntu (Gnome), Kubuntu(KDE) y de tres años para Xubuntu (XFCE4) y Lubuntu (LXDE) en fín que antes te aburres tú de usarla que otra cosa normalmente se piensa mas en servidores que en uso propio con esto del LST pero es lo que ofrecen así que aprovechar la oferta, se puede actualizar desde la 13.10 o desde la 12.04 o simplemente guardáis lo que es vuestro home y vuestros pinitos makeriles y empezáis de nuevo. :) Ximo

Lo primero ir a la página de descargas de convertlit  y ahi nos bajamos la bola Convert LIT 1.8 source una vez bajada creamos una carpeta por ejemplo llamada clit en la que pondremos su contenido que son dos carpetas y un README lo leemos  y ahí encontraremos entre otras cosas que para hacerlo necesitamos hacer lo siguiente en linux y otros SOs pero aquí es explicación solo para Linux y en estas distros debianeras-ubunteras, aunque es fácil de hacer en cualquiera:

Build changes:

Abrimos el synaptic y comprobamos si tenemos la librería libtommath a lo mejor si pero no tendremos el cabezón, el cabezón son los headers necesarios o ficheros que se encuentran en los paquetes -dev de las distros para compilar así que lo instalamos y a continuación hacemos lo que nos dicen que es cd lib y make y mirar lo que sale.

Parece que no encuentra algo que es el archivo libtommath.a que se encuentra en la carpeta o espera encontrarlo en la carpeta /libtommath-0.30 que se encuentra fuera del directorio de trabajo donde nos encontramos que es en mi caso ximo@ximo-SN10E100:~/Descargas/clit/clit18$

Mi solución los .. indican que hay que salir a ximo@ximo-SN10E100:~/Descargas/clit y aquí una vez se está crear el directorio o carpeta /libtommath-0.30 y poner dentro el archivo que le falta para acabar de crearnos el binario clit.

Pues dicho y hecho :

Una vez la tenemos creada vemos que tendremos 3 carpetas en la clit aparte del fichero README, las dos originales de la bola y esta que nos pide, ahora tenemos que buscar el fichero libtommath.a y ponerlo en esa carpeta para que podamos acabar de compilar sin problemas. La pregunta del millón ¿pero dónde está ese fichero? pues dónde están la librerías si hemos instalado los paquetes dev correspondientes lo encontraremos en  /usr/lib/libtommath.a y de ahí enlazaremos o lo copiaremos a esa carpeta (mejor usar el mc para hacerlo)

ln -s /usr/lib/libtommath.a /home/vosotros/vosotros/clit/libtommath-0.30

Por eso lo de usar el mc lo mismo para crear el directorio y para tantas otras cosas.

En Synaptic hay un botón que una vez señalado el paquete nos dice las propiedades en este caso los ficheros y dónde se encuentran así que mucho misterio no hay tampoco.
